We originally bought it as a demo bike but we ended up making it into a display bike. It has never been ridden and has sat, pride of place, in our shop for the last few months.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe frame is H3 size (large in layman's terms) is the raw carbon finish and the hardware is silver or bronze. The whole build kit is listed below. The bike is setup as a mullet with a 29\" wheel up front and 27.5\" wheel at the back.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAbout the HB916\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe HB916 bike is our 160mm rear travel bike. Ithas been designed with Enduro Racing in mind, taking into account its wide variety of terrains and formats. Engineered so a racer can be fast not only on a quick 2 min stage but also on a 20 min mega stage on terrain varying from Scottish Moors to Alpine descents.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eOur focus was on making the bike to be efficient, balanced, predictable, and easy to ride to save racers precious energy on long day races, enabling them to focus and make the difference when it matters the most.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThe V2\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe HB916 V2 features a number of updates aimed at elevating the performance and building on the success of the original bike.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe biggest update is the compatibility with Sram T-Type, made possible with the integration of an additional lower pulley. This innovation effectively mitigates lower chain run growth while enhancing dynamic kinematics, ensuring smoother rides and optimized power transfer.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eDespite these updates, the HB916 V2 maintains its versatility by retaining compatibility with non t-type drivetrains, catering to diverse riding preferences with either 52 or 55mm chainlines,. Moreover, the larger sizes now come equipped with extended chainstays, guaranteeing a consistent geometry balance across all sizes for enhanced stability and control.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIn addition to the performance upgrades, the HB916 V2 introduces a revamped butty box featuring a the Fidlock mechanism. This design not only ensures improved retention of essential gear but also simplifies access.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAesthetically, the HB916 V2 will come with updated color options, and build options featuring Ohlins suspension and Sram XO transmission.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eManufactured in Barnoldswick\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe frame is produced in house at our Barnoldswick factory. The front triangle is constructed in one piece while the chain and seat stays are a hybrid construction of aluminium and carbon allowing us to keep pivot bearings fitted into aluminium and spaced as wide as possible to increase bearing life. The frame features internal cable routing, frame rubber protection and down tube storage which we like to call a ‘Butty Box’ in a typical northern way. The V2 bike now uses a Fidlock mechanism to improve the function of this storage.
